C. Denise Beaudoin

Founding Partner

Prior to forming The Empire Firm, LLC, Denise held in-house business and legal affairs positions at several major companies, including ABC Television and Viacom. Harnessing her experience and relationships formed as in-house counsel, Denise set out to establish her own boutique firm in 2009 with the guiding principle of delivering top-tier legal services and always putting clients’ best interests ahead of all others.

The Empire Firm, LLC has a network of associated legal counsel and represents both large and small production companies, major networks, platforms and streaming services across the entire entertainment spectrum. The Empire Firm often serves as lead counsel for independent productions, overseeing a whole host of ancillary legal challenges, including First Amendment and “fair use” matters, clearance issues, immigration applications, labor and employment challenges, as well as, engaging qualified outside legal counsel on the client’s behalf.

Denise earned a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism and International Relations from the University of Southern California and a J.D. from the University of California Los Angeles School of Law. A native of California, Denise currently splits her time between California and New York.

Bradley J. Runyon

Lead Counsel

Bradley Runyon partnered with The Empire Firm, LLC in 2014 and has a multi-faceted legal background that, in addition to media and entertainment, includes politics, teaching, sports, banking, credit markets, private equity and mergers and acquisitions. Bradly has represented theatre productions, sports programming entities, start-ups and a varied portfolio of television productions and production companies. Bradley spent seven years practicing corporate law at Simpson, Thacher & Bartlett, LLP in New York and was a Junior Staffer for the United States Senate Judiciary Committee before delving into the areas of television, new media, sports entertainment.

Bradley attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on a football scholarship where he earned his BS, BA and JD. He currently resides in New York.

Janille Chambers

Counsel

Janille Chambers is experienced in both transactional and commercial litigation matters. She began her legal career in the international law space, advising Fortune 500 companies on a variety of matters including contract disputes, privacy and data security policies, and retail and consumer litigation. Her area of expertise is in drafting and negotiating information technology, consulting and vendor agreements; but her passion is working on behalf of content creators and social media influencers, negotiating lucrative film, television and music deals on behalf of artists, writers, producers and musical performers.

Janille is a proud graduate of Spelman College where she served as “Miss Spelman College” and was initiated into Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She has a Master’s Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and she earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California where she won her law school honors Moot Court competition.

Janille splits her time between Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia
